Construction Engineering originated in 1953, when D Shalit & Company was formed. Within a few years, the company evolved to become Construction Engineering, the name by which it’s still known today.
Over the years Construction Engineering has experienced steady growth, largely through repeat business. Along the way, it’s also diversified and adapted to industry changes to become a leader in its field.
Over the Years
From humble beginnings, in more recent years Construction Engineering has reached an annual turnover exceeding $250 million, making it one of Melbourne‘s largest privately-owned building companies.
In spite of the sometimes vulnerable nature of the building sector, Construction Engineering has enjoyed a level of financial stability not seen by many of its industry competitors. A key to this achievement is that the company operates without the need to borrow funds.
Construction Engineering has a unique culture within the building industry; it treats staff with respect and appreciation resulting in long term relationships. It’s not surprising then that a large number of staff have been with the company for anywhere between 10 and 40 years. This approach flows on to the way Construction Engineering treats its clients, evidenced by the amount of repeat business successfully undertaken.
