iFly Indoor Skydiving Essendon Fields - First of it's kind in Melbourne

13th May 2016

CEA has signed Contracts for the construction of iFly Indoor Skydiving at Essendon Fields.

The Project is a purpose build High Tech 7 storey building (2 basements in ground and 5 levels above ground) to allow patrons the experience and sensation of safely Skydiving – without jumping out of an Aeroplane.

iFly Sky Ventures have developed, built and operate similar Indoor Skydiving venues in the United States; and iFly are proud to be bringing their technology and Indoor Skydiving experience to Australia - with iFly Essendon Fields the first of iFly’s venues to be built in Victoria.

The ‘flying experience’ occurs inside a 14 foot diameter vertical purpose built glass tunnel, of which carefully controlled Cyclonic speed winds are generated through 2 return air towers and specialised Fan chambers.

Construction commenced May 2016 - with Project completion late April 2017.
